Diabetes Specialist Service - Orkney
The Diabetes Specialist service works in collaboration with people who have Diabetes in Orkney.
Our vision is for all people with diabetes to:
• live longer and healthier lives;
• feel confident and able to self-manage their diabetes day to day;
• have equitable access to timely help and support when required.
We offer:
Structured Education for Type1 and Type 2 Diabetes
Nurse Led Clinics
Dietitian Led clinics
Adult and Paediatric Consultant clinics.
Education for health care professionals
Education for Schools and workplaces
Education for 3rd Sector
We work closely with NHS Grampian, NHS Orkney Primary and Secondary care to provide patients with a holistic approach to Diabetes care.
